Can't imagine $4 would cause a credit score to go down that much. What site are you using to monitor? In my experience most of them are a pretty inaccurate reflection of your true credit score.

This is the free site I've used in the past. ACR supplies a very detailed report from all three bureaus. ACR can be very helpful if you are trying to document a problem. However, you will have to pay a small fee for credit scores.

This is pretty advice if you want to know you true credit score. Most services that people use provide your consumer score which is different than what any lender will use. If you use something like credit karma it can tell you your score is 780 and then when you apply for a loan they bank tells you 710.

If hes at 75%+ credit utilization then any additional debt could definitely trigger a score drop

beware if you are using sites such as Credit Karma. The score they provide is NOT your actual FICO score. Of course it gives you a good idea about your credit just not accurate on the #

100% ACCURATE!!! Iast year i refinanced, and i had to run my cc 3 times i think? And for kicks i cross refrenced kredit karma. They jad my credit 50 points lower than ot was. Then 2 months later i jad to get my 3rd report, same thing.. all lies..

Should be criminal..

Your credit score would not move over $4.00. There would have been something else that triggered it that you are missing

Still it should be based on overall utilization or your credit (as one factor) and if you go from 10% to 10.1% it won't change. If this was a new account or something then yes it could drop.
