I'm laying down a large chunk today on the CAPITALS @ -.5 -125

this price is too nice to just sit around and watch. This will be the first wager I place on this series but it looks real good.

We have a really ticked off Ovechkin, just look at how mad he got at the chick reporter. "You think our season is OVER???"
Down 3-1 but really they have been the better team, Hot goalie and unlucky posts have been their down fall so far. Tonight none of that will matter. I'll be surprised if they don't let off atleast 15 shots before the half way mark of the first period.

Green will be tee-ing up cannon Balls all night, finding the net atleast twice while OVY will look for a hat trick. I expect a massacre tonight and the ice will seem tilted down towards the rangers goal.

I'm not gonna say that WASH comes back to win the series, since they will need some luck too, But tonight Backs against the wall they will come through

WASHINGTON CAPS -1/2 -125

Agree with the pick, I am also on the over 5 myself. One of these two teams should score at least 4.

-.5 means that they need to win in regulation time....If the game goes to overtime it is a loss

this bet can be placed at all the Books as far as I'm aware

Myself and a large part of North America have been waiting on Crazy to release this selection. This line will move quickly. After all...when Crazy speaks...he's no different than E.F Hutton. People listen.

You know...that's what my old teammates used to yell when I picked up the puck in my own end and skated coast to coast.

Used to tell my teammates I was like 7-11. I was always open. :)

Sorry Crazy...I was looking over past playoffs [since about the 99' season] when teams are in this same scenario. And the pressure seemed to always be on the home team and they lost in this situation about 80% of the time.

I'm playing the hot goaltender Lundqvist against the rookie in this situation. Good luck to you though.

Gotta believe everyone's on the Caps tonight as well.

They showed that stat last night, during the flyers game,

good luck, {and history also shows that u are 2-0 when we highly disagree with a particular pick.}

I was just looking for home teams...down 3-1 and coming home. I believe it was about 5-1 in favor of the visitor. It was also significant in other situations when the home team needed a win at home when the pressure was on them. I'm taking my chances with the +$1.94 dog at Matchbook.com. To me that's crazy that the team leading 3-1 and a chance to finish off their opponent is that big a doggie.

Lundqvist set to cap-ture series

WASHINGTON -- So what do you tell a team that's up 3-1 in a best-of-seven series despite being outshot by an aggregate 149-99 and out-attempted on shots by a slightly unbelievable 298-199; to keep it up because it's working?

OVECHKIN GETS LUNDQVIST'S MESSAGE

BRUINS WAITING FOR NEXT OPPONENT

DRURY WANTS 'DESPERATE' TEAM

The Rangers are going for the Game 5 kill tonight against a Caps team that has had its way with the Blueshirts through enormous swatches of this opening round series, but is on the precipice of elimination because Henrik Lundqvist is turning in one of the great early round goaltending performances in Stanley Cup history.

This is it. This is the moment for The King, who is having a series for the ages, certainly the best playoff series of any Rangers goaltender since Mike Richter against Montreal in 1996, and maybe the best in franchise history, given the firepower of the opposition.

But there's one more game to go, one more game to win in order to frame this work of art and hang it in the Smithsonian. One more challenge to confront against Alex Ovechkin, who has fired 35 shots on Lundqvist but has scored only once, that being the left wing missile that allowed the Caps to come within 2-1 early in the third period on Wednesday and set the stage for an electric final 17:47 of a great hockey game.

"He goes everywhere," Lundqvist said of Ovechkin. "You just have to be square, and patient, and you have to be confident that you're going to have enough time to react to his shot to be able to do your job."

Lundqvist will face an onslaught tonight, but what else is new? The Caps don't come in surges, but rather by way of invasion, on the ground, by sea, and with air cover. And yet, they have scored all of seven goals. And yet, the Rangers are up 3-1.

The Rangers are up 3-1 because of their goaltending, because of their penalty killing, and because they have competed. That formula can succeed in the playoffs, at least up to a point.

"I thought we worked our [butt] off," head coach John Tortorella said following yesterday's practice of the Game 4 victory. "Were we ugly? At times, but that's part of it."

Tortorella, who constructed a Game 4 checking line featuring Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Callahan and Fred Sjostrom when the Caps formed their overload of an Ovechkin-Nicklas Backstrom-Alexander Semin first unit, mixed all his combinations at practice. Sean Avery skated some in the middle. Chris Drury skated on Scott Gomez's wing. Colton Orr skated with Dubinsky. In other words, no clues for tonight.

The head coach similarly offered no clue whether Avery, whose lack of discipline left his team shorthanded twice in the final 10 minutes on Wednesday, would be in the lineup. Tortorella did, however, say that the Rangers could not continue to withstand such breakdowns even though Washington has gone just 4-for-22 on the power play.

I also like the way Lundqvist answered the question about him being the reason they are up

"Thats why they pay ME the Big Bucks"
