Roll the dice with the 4's facing each other.

There are lots of Craps strategies around. The don'ts are just as important as the do's in craps (I am not talking about do or don't pass). Don't play any prop bets, I mean ANY: field bets, hard ways, any 7 (worst), any 11, hop bets, horn bets, any craps, big 6 and 8 etc. are all sucker bets. Pass or dont pass - come or don't come with full odds are the lowest vig bets for the house, and best bets for the player. Some players buy or place numbers after the come out, personally I do not. There are numerous craps how to play sites on the net - I will post a link to one.

hard way bets can be used to hedge against dont bets otherwise dont bet them (i bet them for other shooters and the dealers..just for goodwill mostly)

best strategy, imo......have a good time..

Most important thing... find a virgin shooter... they seem luckier for me. Although it is hard to find a virgin in Vegas.

My advice would be mostly what Wil said....

Stick to the pass/don't pass lines, and betting the 6 & 8 and the other numbers....stay away from prop bets cuz you're getting gouged....

In the link that Wil posted read up on the "Taking the odds" section.....I have watched players playing side-by-side have bets out that pay the same, but one of them is risking less by taking the odds....

simple stay away from the 4 and 10 initially, just play the inside either place 32 or 34 inside or multiples thereof. 48 or 51 etc. then make a come bet of about half of your odds at least and sit there and hope for a rollllllllll lol. butter

Play the pass and come lines for the minimum amount allowed while taking maximum odds behind the point. Limit your exposure by having only a maximum of three numbers riding at any one time. Always leave your odds "ON" your come bets, even on the pass line come out roll, as you have established the point already and past the roll out risk percentage. All other table bets, except the don't pass/come, cost a greater percentage, including place bets, the field, 6/8, and the hardways. Played tight and disciplined, craps can be a very profitable game with patience.

(also after the come out roll, don't even think or say the number 7!!!) LSU...YOU COMING TO THE BASH? looK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE OR IN BOSSIER!!!

I pretty much exclusively play the don't...I like to be on two numbers and seems to work out well. Even when I lose, it isn't very much. I'll usually play more coming out and less on odds tho...probably a backwards strategy but has done pretty well for me. You always get paid at the end...just depends on how many times you get picked off first.

Nope, I had already planned a trip out there for August 19th (my birthday), so I'll have to miss the bash......and that pisses me off. I'll be pouring over the reports from the bash though.

I usually play both ways at the table....depending on current trends.

I always start out by laying against the 4 and 10. I start off with $100 on each of these, with $15 on the hard ten and the hard four. This way, the only numbers that beat me are the 3-1 or 6-4, but I win on all rolls of 7.

Once the 7 has rolled often, I'll switch over to the pass line. I like to place the 6 and the 8 (working on the come out), with a pass line bet.....and eventually 3 or 4 come bets.

From someone who has played the game too much, take the advice of oldmanTed and CedarCreaker.

Otherwise, you give the house too much of an advantage.

The only thing I would do different is that I would always be off on the comeout roll. I do this only to be with the crowd. Since if the seven appears on the comeout roll, everyone is cheering and you lost. Have fun with the other players.

Don't do hardway bets or play the field. Don't give the house more advantage then they already have!

Never bet more than you can lose.

Also agree w/Luap...I personally have everything off that happens to be on, on any come out roll...those are my fun sucker bets..like if I am up some $ and have some come bets up on the 6 and 8 I might put some $ (very little) on the hard 6 and 8...that way id the hards don't hit then I still make some 6/5 money on my odds and some even money when the hardways are taken down...Which reminds me of a great way to tip the table people and have them watch out for you...I will throw out either a 25 or a 5 and say "all the hard ways for the Dealers"...if they hit they make some decent $ and they always say thank you and watch out for you when sometimes you might forget to put up odds...simple way that helps everyone!!! Then the change back from the $5 ($1) is great for tipping the cocktail girl!!! What a country
