that should give you a total of 146...
But most lines makers use points given up by both teams to come up with the total...Well that stat stands at 72 points given up for Indiana and 75 points given up for Houston. Again, thats a total of 147 points. Thats 5 and 6 points over and above the posted total of 141.
Lets look at more precise stats folks... Indiana gives up 70 points on the road and scores 75... Thats another total of 145..
Houston at home scores 74 points and gives up 70 points. thats 144..
WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THE LINES MAKER LOOKING AT. UNLESS HE WAS DRUNK OF A MAJOR PLAYER ON EITHER TEAM IS OUT..
UPDATE..Tina Thompson is may be out. However, her back up just dropped 23 on San Antonio. I dont think there is a great reduction in points scored even with the leading scorer on the team out. (she is actually a game time decision but i still dont see how/why that line would be that far off the mathematical averages.
