I've searched all I'm willing to, so I'm just going to ask...

Someone started a thread about a sport/ activity here. They were claiming it was the best sport in CR. I just can't remember what it was. Some sort of down hill sport similar to mountain biking, but with more jumps and such. I know I'm being pretty vague, but...

Does anyone remember?

Yes, mountain boarding, thanks. Where do you get one? And where is the best place to try it out?

I have a friend that owns a shop in Escazu, the boards are a little steep in comparison to regular skateboards but definately worth the investment as they last for years and are loads of fun. Edgar has a bunch of different boards but I highly recommend MBS.

Go check out his shop and fiddle around on some of his boards in the parking lot and if you are still interested maybe we could take you out for a ride sometime.

Contact:
info@hightechaction.com

Taxi Directions for the shop: 500 mts. sur de Multiplaza de Escazú, Plaza Tabriz.

I've been told the best sports in Costa Rica are the following:

1. Buying chicks at the Del Ray at 50% and not paying "tip" or for the "cab home".

2. "Living", after snorting a large bag of coke. Swearing it off, only to do it again the next day.

3. Not getting robbed by a taxi driver, girl friend, or cop.
(You should also include friends, family, wife or employer above.)

4. Lastly, not being run over by a deranged RX'er in a orange colored car with Pirate Club Flags! :103631605

NES - I have to wait till after the season. Plus I'm still leaning towards mountain biking; just seems to be more options. If/ when I get the board I'll let you know. :toast:

Come out with us anyway, we'll share. Mountainbike does open up more options but is not near as fun.

I can't wait to come down and try some of these sports.

I can handle a fall or two. Which will prolly help since I haven't been on any type of board in years. I will let you know when I stop working 7 days a week. See if there is a day I can check it out.

Either that or if you can get a morning free I'll beat you up and send you to work in bandages.
