Story about Carlos Boozer's baby son. Good story, but controversial. I'm happy for Carlos, his wife & son. Son seems to be cured. Another good story was about Ugoth Urbina. Has like a year left in a Venezula prison. Prison's in Venezula are totally different than U.S. prison's. For example inmates are allowed to have guns & knifes. Prison guards hardly ever enter the prison, they basically guard the boundary. Guards are also outnumbered 100-1.
Son was born with the very serious blood disease of Sickle Cell Anemia. Very new science has found a cure through bone marrow transfusion. You need a match to perform the transfusion. Best chances of bone marrow matches are family. Carlos & Wife weren't matches. Went to IVF lab and created something like 10 embryo's. Three of the embryo's were matches, another 3 had the Sickle cell Blood disease. Two of the matched embryo's were implanted in wife. Wife had twins. Sucessful Bone marrow transfusion followed, and baby boy is cured. Carlos & Wife have set up a foundation to help other families in same situation. Procedure is very expensive and controversial.
