Yeah I managed...but year 2 was more of a struggle than the first that's for sure. Had to pull money from places that I normally didn't have to.

Wake up tomorrow lose your job.

Would you be up a shit creek without a paddle?

In Canada there is a welfare system for all, besides numerous free services like food banks,
missions that give away meals after one endures a sermon, etc

Failing that {i'm not sure how} some people end up homeless, but even for them there are
numerous shelters at no cost to themselves. Otherwise they get a sleeping bag & camp out.

Personally, i could sell my hot bod to old ladies & live the good life ;

I'm 36 and would be FUCKED if I lost my job for a year. I make a good living but I also spend what I make with a decent nestegg but with kids, bills, etc no way we could do it without fucking up my retirement.

I suppose I could downsize my house, cars, etc and do it (my wife gets to still work right?). Wait a minute this is sounding better actually and not working....

currently, I could last 8 more years in CR with my nest egg.

In the book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" I took their advice. Instead of spending like a schmuck, I save for the last 6 years. Finishing a major Real Estate investment that will produce a starting return of $12k a month.

I believe I can live here chillin with 100k net a year. If the market goes up, then the rent does too...

Looking to retire by 45.

BIGBET

I can offer a position and thank you for your interest. Please keep this in mind:

You need to have legal papers to work here.^<<^
Our call center is not gambling related. In addition, all projects that enter the center are legal and transparent.^!:
The starting salary is under $1000 a month.:think2:

In time, I will be looking for a GM to run this center when I step back in a few years. That salary will be 6 figures.Soumi

Call centers are a grind. It takes a certian type to not only last, but find a niche to make a foot print in this industry. I consider my staff to be like 13th grade.kth)(&^

I hope that has answered your question.

What do call centers down there mainly do - field customer support calls, or make outbound sales cold calls, or both?

I'd have to make some adjustments, but yes. I could take a year off.

On a brighter note, I start collecting my fire department pension in just over 2 years (01 Oct 2016)!!!

After 20 years in my profession, and in a position I grew to hate, I resigned. They were offering an incentive for people to take an early retirement payout, based on years of employment, and I took the $ and walked away. Invested that money and did not work for a year. Played a lot of golf, did a lot around the house, and volunteered. It was a great year. Accepted an offer just over a year later and went back to work completely refreshed.
