Could MNF have been any worse for the books?

Money came in on Rams and won

Money came in on over and won

All teasers won

Even the real smart guys who got Cle +6 did not lose

Something tells me if these books do not have a strong finish to NFL and a great bowl season we are going to have some bigtime casualties come the new year. But these days the public is just too smart.

Dime, Judge e.t.c Do you echo my thoughts?

Good post Brave.

Another example of why it is essential to shop - you'd have taken either side.

Shopping and anticipating what way a line moves is a huge factor in seperating winners from losers.......much more important than ones opinion on who will cover a game in theory.

BRAVEHEART............yes all teasers won...and that does suck for the books.....

imo......the shops that kept the line at 5'
had enough cleve action to cushion the blow.

shops that moved to 6 and 6' 0bviously had enough ram money to make out ok

dont think the game was that bad.........imo

No question not a good night for most shops. The thing to remember is that it was only one game, even though it was a MNF game. The worst beat any book can take is a 3 falling on MNF. Even with the advent of all the added juice bookies use to to avoid movement off 3. Many bettors will pay the extra vig to take 3.5 or lay 2.5, plus no one who took or laid 3 losses. Last night there were plenty of bettors who took any where from plus 4.5 to plus 5.5, who lost (not to mention a rash of dog ML bettors). Was it enough to make the night even close to profitable, I doubt it. Was the game a total diaster for the books, I also doubt it. Another game in a very long season.

i still dont understand why so many coaches go for 2 before the game plays out to see what is needed at the end. clev. should have lost by 5 not 6. and if rams make the fg they would have been up 9 not 8 and really exposing the missed 2pointer.
