I think Philly gave him a gracious way out, in respect to his career contribution. Allowed him to withdraw his name, instead of publicly dissing him. His late game collapses had to be at least partially his fault. Ride off into the sunset old timer. Help the local H.S.

Coughlin is too old to be launching a run with a different franchise, besides, his bag ($$$$) is full; he doesn't need to worry where his next meal is coming from.
