Costa Rica Natl Hoops Team Leaving For Mexico..8/26..

Sanchez now the premier point guard in the league..head and shoulders past everyone, except CC at barva..he now will hit the open jumper, and is less turnover happy than the past..CC defends and has great energy but lacks skills offensively..
Dixon needs to up his basketball IQ..can rebound, a good shot blocker, but needs to defend better and improve from the line..Has to many turnovers..His attributes are he fills the lane well on break, and his interior passing abilities are getting better..
The keys here for this team will be defending, and making the perimeter game work..This level is big and athletic..

thats very true....puerto rico one of the favorites of course, panama has very good players some of them playing in europe and cuba has always had size and athleticism, anyways like i said best of luck for those guys..

Dude who's in the roster? I know some of the players are missing the tournaments because of injury?
KONIG6..I believe you to be mistaken..this team went 5-1 in El Salvador and lost to a world class Mexican team by 1..This level is above the teams we played in El Salvador so the expectations are not the same..As for Ticos being poor hoopsters I disagree..There are some players here who can play division 1 in the states, and do..The talent is thin, but we have good talent..PR..CUBA>>PANAMA>.these are world class teams..We will compete, and hopefully surprise some people..
Don't get me wrong queposkid, we might have some talent, but players here are not enough tall to compete, and please don't tell me that they are, yes, there are a couple of cats but that's it, and small players in the states have gone through rough college and high school playing which puts them completely apart from any costarrican player...
On the soccer matter...
Well I guess you are just too much of a fan of the "seleccion" because they totally suck, and everybody knows it, except for those who enjoy having a blind fold in their eyes for not to see the REAL costarican national team, which is a bunch of drunks waiting for the game to be over so they can hit the pubs

Konig- I wish drinking Guaro was a sport....then the Ticos would actually be good at something, instead of the constant sucking they do at everything else.
My point was, name another major sport where they compete. (And no I'm not a fan of the sele, been a fan of Nigeria and Brazil forever.)

At least in Soccer, CR always qualifies for the world cup and maintains a top 50 in the world ranking.....usually. Right now they dipped a bit and I think are 78th out of 200. nothing to brag about but by Tico standards it gives them a reason to drink guaro and act like jagoffs in pubs.
Obviously they dont field hockey, football, and baseball teams because they are too busy stealing from gringos, taking bribes, or having kids they cant support.
Sorry to all the Ticos who read here...but even my Tico friends agree with me on those opinions. As a whole, they are very realistic opinions.
