We are pleased to announce that the Costa Rica Holdem Championship tournament series has moved to the Amon Plaza Poker room. The series was held at the White House last year.

The championship consists of six monthly tournaments with the initial tourneys this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm,

Saturday 1-31, $230 buyin, no rebuy with 10k guaranteed prize pool
Friday 1-30 $115 buyin ,no rebuy with 5k guaranteed prize pool
Thursday 1-29 30,000 colones Super Satelite with 1.2 million colnes guaranteed in entries to the Friday and Saturday event.

Participants in the 12 series tournaments will receive points based on order of finish. The top twenty points leaders will play a freeroll tournamentto win an $8,500 package to the Aruba Poker Classic in September.

We will have sit and go satelites for the main event from 3pm on on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In addition to our daily 2-5 and 1-2 cash games we will be spreading PL Omaha on Friday and Saturday based on demand. Cash Games start daily at 3:30 pm with at least one table every day of the week.

Casino Amon Poker update

I would like to thank all the forum members who helped make the kickoff weekend of the Costa Rica Holdem Championship a big success.

We had 59 entrants on Friday with a prize pool of $5,900 and 60 on Saturday with a prize pool of $12,000.

The February events will be on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th respectively.

Johnnie Walker gave away 14 bottle of Whiskey, including a bottleof Blue to the winner.

We continue to have a daily cash game starting at 3:30 and typically going until 2am or so. Our weekly tournaments are:

Monday 8pm - 30,000 colones no rebuy
Thursday 8pm - 30,000 colones no rebuy
Sunday 3pm - $55 with one rebuy
