Fellas, been waiting on some information for the status of Meier from my fellow Cat buddies. As you all may know, Snyder doesn't open his trap about the playing status of any of his players. Just recieved an e-mail that I am pasting onto this thread. It is not official but it is better than waiting for Snyder on the official word. Trust me, you won't be hearing crap from that guy on Meier. gl this weekend and I would suggest not taking this game period. I guess that is why the line has stayed at (-5) all week.
So, the biggest question still remains unanswered. Will Dylan Meier play
Saturday? Well, the bad news is all indications are that K-State's
sophomore quarterback will not be medically cleared for Saturday's game
with Nebraska. Meier suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of
Saturday's game and is expected to not be cleared for contact until the
Texas Tech game.
The Conductor is told if Meier doesn't play, Allen Webb will start but be
on a very short leash. Yes, the redshirt could come flying off of true
freshman Allan Evridge on Saturday.
Since arriving at K-State this summer, Evridge has studied K-State's
playbook to be prepared if needed. In the weight room, practice field and
film room, Evridge made quick believers out of his teammates.
"He's got leadership ability," K-State co-offensive coordinator Greg
Peterson said. "His teammates responded to him immediately and you want
your quarterback in that position. He'll be a tremendous player, no doubt
about it." :discuss:
