This happened in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Cop was going to hit a rowdy fan with his gun in the back of the head and the gun went off.

Cop shoulda had a club and not his f-ing pistol out. You know the old saying...don't pull your gun out unless you intend to use it.

Sao Paulo football fan wounded by police dies

SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) - A Sao Paulo football fan who was shot in the head by a police officer before a Brazilian league match last weekend died in a Brasilia hospital on Thursday.

Nilton Cesar de Jesus, 26, never regained consciousness after being shot, Hospital de Base said in a statement.

Jesus had traveled to Brasilia to support Sao Paulo in the final round of the league, but never saw his club beat Goias to win its third consecutive title.

Outside the stadium, Jesus and several other Sao Paulo fans clashed with Goias fans. One of the police officers called in to quell the fighting, fired his gun and wounded Jesus.

The police officer was arrested but released to await the outcome of an investigation.
