Any of our poster's ever had Lobster at Cook's in Harpswell, Maine ? It has won many awards as the Best Lobster in all of Maine ! Sounds like a great place to go to celebrate Red Sox victory which should happen tonight in game 4 ! Go Red Sox ! 1-0 lead already !

just curious , how do you make a lobster taste any better than the next one?

I love lobster, but to me its all the same unless you stuff it with crabmeat?

Yea, kinda like how can a Philly Cheesesteak in Philly be better than somewhere else?

how fresh it is matters for lobsters and how long it has been in "custody"..legal seafoods and other chains have lobster fattening tanks where they keep the lobsters in a very cold tank so they almost hibernate and only eat....the ones right out of the ocean are the best if you ask me. As for cooks, I haven't been there myself but good buddy went and liked it. I suspect there are plently of local places in Maine for half the price that are just as good minus the location/ambiance..so it depends what you want...I have been to a good one on a dock near yarmouth but unfortunately can't recall the name. At my local Legal Seafoods in boston I get a 3.5-4 pounder for $60 but you can do better in Maine and the smaller ones taste better anyways......

I love lobster plain, in pasta, eggrolls, lobster-rolls, bisque and stuffed in anything. My lady teases me about my lobster problem all the time....I think I am just a big crustacean fan as I love my MD blue claw crabs with some old bay seasoning too....

Anyone who says all Lobster tastes the same simply hasn't tasted lobster at Cooks ! They have their double special which is 2 Maine 1 1/2 lb. lobsters. I was staying there for 4 days and I had the same meal 3 straight days ! fantastic ! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
