Allen Robinson Receiving Yards —- Over 61.5 (-115)

0-0 W/L
ROI --- NA
CLV ---- NA

First things first —- those who read my Week 1 Betting Preview probably had a hunch I might be targeting this total, but for those who didn’t read that I’ll go over the numbers another time for your reading pleasure;

Since 2000, in Week 1, games with a total of 50 or more have gone over the number to the tune of 14-9-1 (60.4%).

With a total of 51.5, and with this game being played on the indoor track of SoFi Stadium, scoring should come early and often. Matthew Stafford’s elbow injury might be an issue down the road, but not this early in the season, and even then I’m beginning to become skeptical of its severity in general. But I digress —— both offenses made pretty solid additions in the offseason and will look to spread a pair of defenses lacking depth out and attack the weak links. Particularly in each team’s respective secondaries, there’s the potential for some really big performances out of the WRs.

This brings us to the second part of my bet this evening —- Allen Robinson Over receiving yards! And first things first —- Robinson is out of QB hell! He gets Stafford throwing him the ball after seasons of Bottles, Trubisky, and Fields —- not a bad upgrade I’d say. Moreover, he should benefits from getting Buffalo's CB 3 with Tre’davaious White out, and Elam helping bracket Kupp on the otherside. The extra cherry on top is that it is becoming more unlikely to see Jefferson play which will naturally see a big increase in usage for Robinson.

Lastly, I think it’s worth noting that in my estimation; The Bills' defense finished with a false #1 ranking last season. EVERYTHING ISN’T AS IT SEEMS. A REALLY weak schedule of QBs and some severely inclement weather games really helped suppress opposing offenses —- and injuries continue to be a concern.

And it’s not like the Rams didn’t lose pieces on defense either, pass-rush looks feeble outside of Donald, so sit back and enjoy a fireworks show with me! SCORE LOTS OF POINTS.
