Contest Idea for basketball for everyone!!

Guys, just an idea to shoot around here. Why dont we restart our basketball contest using actual sponsors this time.

The format of 3 picks a day is pretty cool. But why dont we have a "psuedo" post up contest. Whatever book is hte sponsor, we would all have ot send AT LEAST $100 deposit to that book. Then we could have weekly, monthly and yearly prizes. We would need to start again because it was never announced on the foum that this was a prize contest. Now that might suck for some, but it is really the only way to do it. Or maybe we could make the postup only $50, but we would get better prizes with a $100 contest!

Now i know that about 50% of you guys dont even bet REAL MONEY, but lets make an exception JUST THIS ONCE!! I mean $50-100 isnt that much money and we all need to support the sponsors on this site! I know that I support the sponsors of the site. Aww hell, ok I know, they are actually advertisers, but oyu get the picture!!

Lets all ante up a little cash for a great contest idea!!

P.S. The reason for a post up contest is to keep Sick Gambler and his 7 user ID's from entering as an example. Everyone entered in the contest would be required to register your account number and name with General to validate your membership and deposit!

so would we be betting with those 100 dollars??? or would this just be a stagnant account to not be used??? and the Winners split all the pot???

Post-up contests are better. History proves it is hard to get many post-ups. If enough are interested then we can look at.

Well it wouldnt exactly be the same sort of post up contest. I remember that RPM some how got about 80 people to post up $300 at rio. Well we are only talking about $50-100 postup. But keep in mind that would be your money to bet with as well. So it is really like a free contest! Iam sure that betpanam would be interested. I would play as long as we start over and set a nice set of rules to start.

We could probably start on lets say Dec 1st. General, ask betpanam if they want to sponsor if every player has to send htem AT LEAST $50 into an account to bet with. I am sure that most people will send $300-500 or more so it is real good for the book. Keep in mind General that in the other post up contest we had to actually send in the money but didnt get to bet with it, it was an entry fee. Well this would be different. We can all bet with this entry fee so the contest is free.

What I am striving for here is a contest like RPM's baseball contest this year. By FAR, that was the best season contest that this site has ever seen. We need to duplicate that in basketball

Lets get a list of who would send lets say $50-100 to a book to join the contest! This would be money that you get to bet with seperately with your own games and if you win, all money is yours to keep.

The idea behind this is too help convince the book that sponsors a contest that it is in their best interests
