someone in another thread said that liberals are smarter because they read more. guess that person never bothered to look at the nonfiction bestseller lists -- liberals must be living in fantasy land. guess liberals must be smart because they read ann rice and nora roberts.

Happened alot sooner than expected.

yeah, it's only been six months and

waded into a pile of shit by voicing his uneducated opinion on gates and the cop whose name i no longer remember

had to apologize for making a comment about the special olympics on the tonight show

sending unsolicited emails for which they have had to stop

public option going bye bye from a healthcare plan that's on life support

admitted that they misjudged the economy as job losses continued to grow despite assuring us it wouldn't if only they passed the spending bill

keeping the option open to tax anyone and anything to pay for his "change"

his attourney general called us a nation of cowards

having supporters planted in town halls to ask questions while asking for criticism at the same town hall

clinton making a fool of herself

pelosi undermining the integrity of every motherfucker that doesn't share her views

let's not forget about dodd getting caught in his bald faced lie

or the tax cheat he hired to oversee the irs

and now bitching about the very media that helped them gain power -- or rather, the media that hasn't been kissing his ass

but hey, at least he's managed to apologize to the rest of the world on our behalf while bowing to middle eastern kings!

Does that mean it was conservatives who were voting for Obama last November?

bush was one of the most unpopular presidents ever, but that will probably change as obama's numbers continue to drop. obama did an excellent job of telling people just how bad bush was. i think the number of democrats that got elected from conservative districts attests to the disenchantment conservatives had with bush and attests to the dificulty obama is having in pushing his agenda through -- these democrats from conservative areas have got to toe a thin line or it's one and done for them. conservatives who voted for obama were pretty much cutting off their noses to spite their face. obama has a very tight timeframe right now for pushing his agenda, cause come the end of the year, politicians are going to be gearing up for elections and will not want to be going headfirst into any controversial and divisive issues.

i really don't think a lot of people took the time to think about what they were really voting for.

So we're back to Polls Are Significant?

This time last year, the results of most posted polls here in the ol' PoliticoPub were being dismissed as "just polls".

I'm cool either way, but it's helpful to know when they're in-season and when they're not.

the debate about health care is in large part about what Americans want, and I think it's pretty obvious they don't want Obama care as it's being presented

they also help prove that America is still a right of center nation

they prove Obama and the lefties were not given some mandate they claim they were

what channels are these?

I am from a so called 'very religious country' yet I am constinously shocked as to how much religion I find on tv these days

go through your cable channel-listing next Sunday at around 9 AM and let me know what you find

(I am just saying, YOU do the count then report back :) )

i really don't think a lot of people took the time to think about what they were really voting for.

I really don't think most people have 10% of the information they need to explain what/why they are voting for (or even worse. not even 1% of that 10% ......have the ability to analize the little information they have)

This is regardless of whether or not I agree with their decision.

In summary , most people don't have a clue about anything

sadly, when it comes to politics, this is true

when i manage to get up that early on a sunday morning i normally rue the fact that i missed another episode of meet the press. although state of the nation on cnn is pretty good. around noon time baseball starts up. i know my local networks still show sunday morning church services, whch they have done since i was a wee little child. which is cool. i'm sure i could order a 3 hour block of porn at 9 o' clock in the morning just as easy as i can find a program dedicated to those who prefer to worship from home.
