Donald Trump turned his first ever Congressional Picnic into a family fair on Thursday evening, with the President, his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka all letting their hair down for a night of celebration.
Photographs from White House's South Lawn showed Melania kissing babies as she and her husband mingled with people in attendance.
Meanwhile, Ivanka played with her daughter, Arabella, in the Rose Garden.
Melania was wearing a $2,255 Mary Katrantzou 'osmond grid' print dress on the night.

The president also shook hands on the lawn, which had been decorated to look like Manhattan's Central Park - apparently in tribute to the New Yorker who now spends his weekdays at the White House.
Earlier, Trump used his short speech at the event to call on Republicans and Democrats to come together during a short speech at the Congressional Picnic in Washington.
The president opened his brief remarks by saying his 'thoughts and prayers' are with congressman Steve Scalise, who was wounded after being shot during a practice session ahead of the Congressional Baseball game earlier this month.
'We are so touched that joining us here this evening are Steve and Jennifer's children… in fact, we just gave them a beautiful tour of the White House. They got the A-tour,' he continued.

Trump then talked about the baseball game itself, which was held on June 15, one day after Scalise was shot by James Hodgkinson.
The president revealed he was stopped from attending the game at Nationals Park.
'I wanted to be there so badly you have no idea… but our folks from the Secret Service said maybe we should take a pass,' he said.

Ivanka Trump posted these seven pictures on her Instagram account from the Congressional Picnic at the White House

Trump then turned his attention to a call for unity, which was displayed by the players in the game last week. After winning the traditional game, the Democrats team gave the trophy to the Republicans so it could be placed in Scalise's office.
'It's our hope that the unity showed that evening can continue to grow and thrive between Republicans and Democrats,' he said.
'I think we'd be doing a lot better and I know the country would be doing a lot better.
'We will prove worthy of the trust the country has placed in us. I am hopeful the spirit of cooperation we have seen in recent days.'
