With all of the slow pays, no pays, and runs on the bank that have come recently. Could your book survive. I doubt that many books have enough liquid cash sitting around to avoid complaints if everyone wanted to be paid on the same day. If everyone that used the bank that you use and went to pull their cash out on the same day they would not have the cash available. They have the money but would have to get it trucked in. I for one feel safer that my bank could not get it b/c this means their eggs aren’t in one basket and they can’t loose my money in a robbery, fire, or other circumstance. The same thing applies to books if they kept all of their money in neteller, WU, or any other bank what if their funds got frozen by the dreaded patriot act or someone ran off with it. It does not make good business since to leave it in one place.

One of the problems is that we have become so accustomed to instant gratification. Of course if one person wants their money the book can transfer it in minutes. But if you have to wait 2 days people freak out. If you need your money right a way play with a local. If you don’t cant go with out your winnings for two days then you should not have been playing it in the first place. People don’t want to do this b/c they don’t get the best lines, extra money on parleys, bonuses, and other perks of playing offshore. There are advantages and disadvantages of playing offshore, if you want the pros than you have to deal with the cons. Keep in mind that many of these books are in third world countries thing don’t move as fast over there.

What happened to customer loyalty? When I first started offshore I didn’t like talking to the people where I played, I was intimidated. Now I find that to be my biggest advantage, any problem I have had is quickly taken care of. I use two books I get to line shop, I have my outs, and I know the people there. I have established a good relationship with the books that I deal with and they treat me very well. How many people play at books for that they won’t vouch for? I for one have no problems telling people to play with the books that I use; I know that if they play there they can expect the same level of quality that I currently get. Using the banking example again, if a new bank in town is offering a free ice chest and lawn chair for new accounts would you sign up, would you ditch your old bank where you were treated great for something so insignificant. If you would; then continue to go for bonuses and continue to have problems.

Players don’t realize the power that they have if you ask for things you’d be surprised what you can get. This is a two way street, I help out my books all of the time, I give suggestions, report problems, and also pass on the positives. I am in return treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. If you have a good relationship with your book then there is no need to run to the forums every time you encounter the slightest problem. Let the book know they’ll fix it, books rarely intentionally screw players. Most problems occur are the fault of a low level employee. Most books have a very simple business model; pay players when they win, collect when they loose, and keep them happy so they will come back. It’s very simple and very effective. Remember the odds are in their favor the longer they stick around the more money they make. Sound easy but many books **** it up.

So could my books survive a run on the bank they are both advertisers here, and I doubt it. Could they pay off all of their players in a week or two, sure. Will they ever have a run on the bank, I doubt it. I guess the moral of my story is if you want to protect your money get to know who is holding it. The best deal, bonus, or line does not make a book the best. Be loyal to a book and they will be loyal to you. Try to **** them and they will **** you.

There is 756 words of my 2 cents
