Looking back , this series had it,s up and downs. Now, that it,s all over I think the decision to start the playoffs early really benefited the Pens. It,s hard to believe that any team could be Detroit 4 out 5 last games and shut the wings down to one goal each in the last two. History tells us that just doesn,t happen. Can we question the effort of the Wings or did they just run out of gas. It ws Very un Detroit like. Going in to this series, Detroit was the more deeper talented team, the better defense, the more experienced team but the Wings were just to banged up and ran out of gas.
There was some questionable calls which went the Pens way. The 21 second to many men on the ice was one. Not only should of the Wings been on the PP, they gave Pit a PP a minute later and they scored.
Bettman decision not to give Malkin a game misconduct was another. Bettman broke the leauge rules here. He isntigated , he should of been gone. Done.
What commisioner fails to congratulate the losers in this series?
In the end the Pens just had a little more zip then the wings. For entertainment value, this was a great series. The NBA can,t even compare to this. Congratulations to the Penguins, with every thing on the line, the Pens played better in both elimination games.
It went both ways, did you not watch games 1 and 2 in Detroit? Some calls should of went against Detroit, but for some reason the refs were blind,so it goes both ways. Please no more excuses,PITT loses ohh well good year not going to sit around and make excuses
Pens had Bettman in their back pocket.
Since when did any sport follow the rules:No one is making excuses except you. I am not talking MARGINAL penalties that were call on both sides,,, but if a two refs and two linesman can,t see 6 men on the ice,,,,,, that a flagrant foul....not marginal...
Malkin should of been out of the next game for instigating cuz..... well its right in the rule book.... YOU DON,T PLAY. No and if or butts.
Pens had Bettman in their back pocket.
That's an excuse.
And everyoe who talks about the Malkin suspension for 1 game was a bad call is an idiot. It's common sense. If that's Zetterberg doing that they would do the same thing and I wouldn't complain. The rule is in place for people who acutally go out there and have history of rough play. The rule is in place so a coach doesn't just put out some complete bum on the ice n have him take a cheap shot at someone.
(Example being.. Daniell Carcillo goes out for a face off on a 3-5 situation for Philly and tries to elbow someone in the head. Carcillo gets the most penalty minutes in the league and never plays on the Penalty kill or takes face-offs. They even fined Philly's coach for it. Yes this game was in the playoffs against Pittsburgh.)
It's in the rule book, every incident is reviewed!!! They reviewed it, and determined he shouldn't be suspended because he DIDN'T have a history of "sending messages" or roughing whatever you want to call it.
CONGRATS TO THE STANLY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS!!!!!
It goes both ways. Malkin was hit in the mouth with a few sticks and had his mouth cut with blood pouring out.So next time Malkin does instigate ,,,, he,s gone ....according to your example.... He is now off probation..... BS.... HE gooned it up and he should of been gone..
Aw... why am I explaining this to a guy with a Pit avatar anyhow ?
You and the the state of Pennsylvania all thought Super Bowl 40 was legit too ? But 49 other states and Canada seen the Seahawks get cheated.
They must be selling those rose colored glasses dirt cheap !!
In the words of the Eagles...... Get over it.So next time Malkin does instigate ,,,, he,s gone ....according to your example.... He is now off probation..... BS.... HE gooned it up and he should of been gone..
