Congrats to Steve Stricker

I know the guy quite well as he is as down-to-earth as they come. Won a playoff today for the PGA Crowne Plaza Invitational title in Texas. He'll probably have a Bud Lite or two tonight. Way to go Steve.

That one guy choked on about a 3-5 ft putt for the win in regulation. Stricker seems like a nice guy, good for him.

I'm glad for him, he's a good dude. I think he'd be a good play for the Open in a few weeks. Does anybody have a line on this yet?

I work for a newspaper 10 miles from where he was born, Edgerton, Wis., which is about 25 miles from Madison, where he lives. He always has been great returning calls. He just spent the past two weeks here, and I saw him then.
