The Heat & Pacers were tied atop the East with 2 games left, and Miami decided to to rest their starters against Washington tonight, and are getting crushed.

After beating the Thunder, Indiana basically only needs to win their last game against Orlando now to claim home-court.

We know they are the Heat and can beat anyone anywhere, but with only 2 games left why not try to seal home-court...

The reason they rested players is because the pacers have 1 more game and it is at home vs the Magic. Pacers would've been a huge fav in this game, Orl has the worst or 2nd worst home record in the league.

also fwiw Nelson and Vuc are out for the year. I mean Orlando very little chance to win that game so Heat did the right thing just get the 2 games rest for LeBron, etc

Heat would rather be healthy than have home court. Plus is the bulls/nets beat the pacers in round 2, the heat will have the home court in the eastern conference finals.

Pacers achieved their goal by getting the 1 seed in the east. Now its time for the heat to achieve their goal and go back 2 back 2 back
