I played game of war for a few months... but "playing" isn't the right word. It became more like a responsibility and I found myself waking up and logging in before i got out of bed to keep my kingdom growing properly. I invested $24.99 total.

I got invited into a fast growing and surprisingly serious alliance and benefited from all of their activity. The more money they spent, the more gifts our alliance got. While I continued growing at a snails pace personally, I witnessed absolute INSANITY among other players. These schmucks are dropping $100 several times a week... sometimes several times a NIGHT to buy "gift packs". The gift packs start out $4.99 then disappear, then $19.99 (disappear), then $49.99 (disappear), and finally $99.99 - which is the ONLY pack these guys can buy now.

The company, machine zone is advertising everywhere and they can afford it. How? Do a little research and you will see that GOW is attracting 15k new users DAILY from all over the globe. Daily revenue is estimated at 500k. This is DAILY !!!!

In any case - I just stopped "playing" cold turkey. I left my kingdom (boo fcking hoo) and I have no interest in logging in to read any dramatic emails from other players. The game is a collossal waste of time and is't even fun. The attraction is for addictive personalities. The game becomes part of your everyday life if you want to maximize growth. I am so glad I am done with that garbage.

Timely post for me. A lot of what you wrote was me for about 6 days. I knew it was this huge hit for a while and saw my kid playing it. He convinced me to play a bit. I didn't spend a dime, but I can see why Clash is a huge business. For as carried away as people can get spending money, it's even a bigger waste of your time. I laughed a little at your post, because I can relate. I agree it's an addictive person's game also boring after about a week.

I have played Clash for a while now. Most days I hate it.

I still do the obligatory log in and upgrade several times a day. Have never spent a single dime, but I have quite the decent base. For how much I hear people spending on it, I wonder what my account would be worth to outright sell. Would save someone a hell of a lot of money and time to get where I'm at.

i just looked at eBay, one that's very similar to mine is $250 U.S. Bucks! Nice!
maybe I should sell it. I have a smaller account. I think it's more fun to build it up.

ive had my account for over 2 years but I didn't play for like 8 months ...

I I like having a good talkative clan. I don't take it seriously, but I do enjoy it
