I'm a Letterman guy, but of course had to tune in, I always liked Conan, brilliant comedy mind in front and behind the camera.
Solid opening, solid debut so far.
When it's all said and done, Craig Ferguson will be the king of late night.

I never thought Jimmy Fallon was funny, even on SNL.
"The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien". Sounds weird.
Conan is funny except when he does his stupid antics with his gestures. I would like to see Andy Richter come back and be his side-kick. He and Andy used to have some pretty funny gags together.
They need to axe Fallon. The only thing good about that show is The Roots. I've tried and tried to give him a chance but he just doesn't have it. He's a funny guy in his own right, but it's clear he's not cut out to be a late night talk show host. You need good monologues, good sketches, good writers, none of which he has. Most importantly you need that late night talk show wit, which he doesn't have again. The kind of wit that Conan, Craig, Dave has and Carson had. You just can't hone that shit or work on it, you either have it or you don't. HUUUUGE mistake by nbc taking a big risk on Fallon.
Show was pretty good, but it should have been as they had three months to cook it up. Conan was a bit more mellow.....he didn't do all that wacky stuff in his monologue that he got away with at 12:30PM. The band was totally ignored.....Max didn't say a word. I suppose they will get better use out of Andy....for the most part he just cackled at Conan's jokes. All in all, I give the show a C+, but you would figure that with all that time to prepare he should have aced it.
