Computer Hell: Any Help Please?

Someone sent me a virus on aol messenger, im getting inundated with "pop-ups", any ideas on how to get rid of this? Any sites that will help me get rid of this nightmare? Any ideas or suggestions, will be greatly appreciated.

Go to Trendmicro.com & run the free virus scanner. Then download, install and run AdAware from download.com

It won't do any good to run Adaware until AFTER you have removed the virus.

After running the scans at Trend Micro, I have no viruses on my computer. Ive now run the adware software and keep quarantining, the same 15 pop ups will not disapear. Maybe there on my hard drive? TT any other ideas?

I'll reply & send you a couple files that you can run (It's Sysclean from Trend & the latest pattern file). You can also download it from them if you want. Put them in a folder & execute sysclean.
