Don't let me or my computer psyche you out of your own handicapping.

For a volume system like this...I always maintain that good handicapping can over ride it.

This is a new system...we don't even know if it's any good.

As a volume system...I am relying on having an edge after oh...at least 40-50 picks...one game doesn't mean anything....any one pick can be terrible...I am relying on the power of numbers to make up for that over time.

I hope this helps.

Think of my picks as maybe having a slight edge if you play all 50 of the next set of picks....but one game...by itself...hardly means a thing.

Or you could just be a genius, call WAS on the road, and division basement dweller ARIZ with a pitcher of ERA 8+ vs the Phils and pull out both victories... (knock on wood)

Yeah it does help, thanks. Well Az up by 2 at the end of the 1st. So this game should be very interesting.

They are making up the Mets game at 12 EST tomorrow as part of a double header. Pitching matchups I'm pretty sure are the same. (Santana/Hammel)

Would that still be a play on the Mets?

Nope. Plays would not carry over to the next day.

The players Astrological signs will change...Jupiter no longer aligns with Mars ect.

Santana's biorythyms peaked today...so I guess we missed it.

I'm not sure what is fueling the debate here. It is quite simple, you are trying to make positive EV plays that will win you slightly more than your vig over time.. this is akin to a high volume computer black box making millions of trades a day in an attempt to collect fractions of a cent per share as profit at the NYSE. Anybody that doesn't acknowledge that will probably not be profitable in the long run. Of course the books beat most of the people over the long run because most people are making zero EV bets, or betting too much on slightly positive EV bets-- thus subjecting them to short run bad luck. I mean it takes years for pro cappers to build up the bankrolls they have. It is so slim an edge that you should be thrilled to get 55% ATS over your gambling career. IF you find a capper, like MJ, who has shown to be consistently over that mark... it is absolute gold. Those razor thin positive ev bets he finds, coupled with strict MM, is the only way he, and other successful cappers, are able to accomplish this. So, in short DS123, I agree with you and am not really sure how you were advocating wagering on the losing side of games already played. Usually I wouldn't join in on the banter, but I took the time to read it all so now you can both take the time to read my reply. I've said my piece. Peace!!

Never said I advocated betting on the losing side when the game's already played. That's the other guy putting words in my mouth.

The gist of my point was that it would be correct to lay money on any dog(for example the DBacks tonight), no matter how big of a dog, if the odds are right.

Whereas the other guy was saying that's a dumb move because there's gonna be a huge chance (over 50%) that you will be leaving the book with no money tonight off that wager, and he would rather make the play that gives you a high chance of taking home money, even if he's getting a negative EV (aka betting the big overpriced fav). Which of course, is a losing strategy over the long run.

BOL MJ, always love taking a shot with baseball dogs at +250 or more. I layed a run with the Mets for +105, so I'm getting both + money. Let's cash em MJ.

thanks MJ, on them both. Is that all for the day or are those just the day plays?

I always post all the plays at once...that is it.

Could the system be overvaluing the bad teams a bit? Dbacks, Nats x2, SD make up 4 outta the 9 picks so far. Tho SD was the fave tonight, so who knows.

GL tho.

GL tho.

Too early to tell...it might take some tinkering...or maybe it won't work at all.

It was on an 18-5 tear before I started posting...that's just how it goes sometimes.
