Comment on CFB BOWL TOTALS SYSTEM

I started this thread because I did not want to be negative in someone else's thread - I do not understand why anyone would play a chase system ( first half and then double up second half unders ) mathematically it makes no sense - when u lose U lose 3 bets and when u win u win 1 bet - so if one has 9 winners and 3 loses they break even at best - in my opinion this is disasterous - terrible money management and are just flipping a coin - no handicapping involved - The only reason I can see betting unders and this is flimsy at best is that after a long layoff the defenses should be better prepared than offenses and this is only maybe -
This is why I do not play Totals in bowl games to many intangibles to handicap after a long layoff -

I've played a couple totals in these bowls. But I agree, it's almost a 50/50 proposition because the regular season coaching philosophies go out the window in these games that for the most part have no meaning. When the coach starts clearing the bench to give his seniors some playing time, it can seriously affect the spread and the total. And the chances that some of these coaches take like going for it on 4th down instead of kicking the FG seems to be the norm in every game. This is something they would almost never do during the regular season when there is more on the line.

Nobody with the slightest inkling of intelligence would play ANYTHING..... EVER..... resembling a chase system. Particularly one recognized and labeled as a chase system. Case closed. Don't forget to tip your waitress.

I'm so glad I didn't have a dog in that fight. But I did come close to taking the over since WKU's plays defense with their offense..Ha! I'm kind of regretting I didn't take the under for BC/PSU. Nobody likes to play unders with totals that small. But this game looks like a Mexican standoff...

Thanks packer I agree but it is amazing when it comes to gambling how people take good money and look for crazy systems - playing a system is easier than doing the work it takes to win - speaking of my waitress in the diner I go to - she saw me on my iPad with numbers and sports and my papers on table and asked what r u doing R u gambling - do u win etc etc - so she said can u give me a game to play - reluctantly I gave her a Total and it won and since it won I have given her some Totals to play and she did well or maybe whoever she gave them to did well and then she started to ask me to please come in every week and instead of a tip to give her a Total - she didn't want to give me a check but I said give me a check I didn't want her to get in trouble - so yes I tip my waitress - LoL

Right now I'm a little ahead in the bowls. But I've been pretty selective. Especially today where I found only a couple good spots. I did hit the VT and under play. My unders are only for a a half unit each. But I've done pretty well on them so far. The better games and teams are coming up.

As senseless as it may seem, I have used this three years in a row after christmas and it was profitable every single time. After xmas with today's and yesterday's bowls so far I am slightly ahead. But you're probably right, I'm just a stupid winner I guess

Got it at 51. I didn't know it got all the way down to 49. BC/PSU are both dead in the water offenses. That under 41 total is looking pretty good right now

As we both know and as yogi said "it ain't over till it's over or under " the only thing that looks good always are the enhanced twin asses in your avatar - yes the vir tech game there were 49's

TY for posting this in my thread it proves my point - I am trying to help some on the forum about good money management and good gambling habits - this chase system is a disaster waiting to happen - I wish everyone good luck but u cannot get lucky or be successful playing this way - let's see those that played this system today are 4-1 that is 80% wow 80% what a GREAT % and U r up approximately 1/2 a unit - this is what u call TOTAL and COMPLETE INSANITY when gambling - and those that use this strategy for these games makes me wonder what u do the rest of year - bad habits and bad money management will guarantee u will lose in any form of gambling -
