Will be The Dodgers Jeff Weaver. A change of scenary will do wonders for Weaver who still has very good stuff - (go ahead laugh). Fantasy players grab this guy cheap.

Has good stuff in spurts, just needs sessions with Shrink, as he gets too deflated once burned by three run shots.

I agree with you Wil, getting him into the NL's smaller offensive game, and out of extremes of NYY pressure or Detroit apathy, may make for a more stable Weaver?

jeff weaver single-handedly cost me over $1,000 last year. i feel confident that i could hit around .275 in the majors if i could face jeff weaver every time.

Agree with Weaver. Dodger Stadium alone will put his ERA in the low 4s. Had a high flyball ratio last year compared to the past but Chavez Ravine will eat up alot of those deep flyballs. Hell of alot better defense overall also. Only problem is the offense, could have a 3.28 ERA and go 12-15 if it doesn't improve.

Care to tell me what Kevin Brown is coming back from. Last year he went 14-9 with an ERA of 2.39, starting 32 games, pitching 211 innings, and striking out 185. In order to be Comeback Player of the Year you have to be coming off a bad year. As far as Weaver goes time will tell, a good year from him would be a monster comeback.

14-9 is a bad year for a guy cashing his paychecks. Were there any pitchers 5 games over 500 who made less money ?

My pick for the Comeback Player of the Year has to be Jermaine Dye of the A's. Word is that he had really dedicated his off season in getting into the best shape of his life. With all the injuries he has had the last 2 years, he wants to prove something this year.

Kiss1 - Sorry but no matter what he makes, a guy who was 2nd in ERA, 6th in strikeouts, 13th in innings pitched, and 13th in wins in the National League is not coming off a bad year. His problem was his team could'nt give him any support, which ironically could be Weaver's problem this year. Only a few pitchers in the NL were better overall last year.
