Romney makes Colts-Patriots wager with Indiana governor.
BOSTON -- Gov. Mitt Romney and Indiana Gov. Joe Kernan put state pride on the line Friday by betting on the Colts-Patriots matchup in the AFC Championship.
The two talked by phone Friday morning and Kernan accepted Romney's challenge for a wager over Sunday's game, said Kernan spokesman Jonathan Swain.
If the Indianapolis Colts win, Romney will send a basket of Boston goodies that includes lobster, clams and other Massachusetts delicacies.
If the New England Patriots win, Kernan will owe Romney 25 Indiana pork chops and 10 pounds of South Bend chocolate, double-dipped peanuts.
