Well not really, it is real early yet! I wanted to start a new thread to show you guys that I am not sweating that much. She is only -1 right now and most players havent even teed off yet. Remember that tomorrow she will play in the afternoon when the greens will be dried out a bit and the TEXAS wind will start to roar! She needs to get to -2 or -3 at the end of today to have a good shot. Tomorrow she wont shot as well in my view judging from teh conditions.

Since i have a bout $5000 that she doesnt make the cut at 6 books, I was sort of hoping that she would shot a 77 today, but to no avail, but it isnt over yet. But this course has almost no trouble!!! Greens are soft and I wil admit she is suprising me right now.

In my view, then cutline will be about -2 or -3, possibly -4, but that is doubtful. I do think at least 50 golfers will be -4 or better though for the 2 days.

By the way, anyone who bet on the 2nd highest favorite to win the Colonial, DAVID TOMS, well you will be pissed since he withdrew!! If I remember correctly, alot of books list these guys as action, can someone correct me on this?? I didnt take Toms to win it, but I want to know the answer to this.

Because with Toms leaving and if they dont refund the bet, then that is just free money! I bet on Sergio Garcia at 40 to 1 and Rocc Mediate at 40 to 1. But I really expect Phil Mickelson to win this tournament like he did 3 years ago.

Well that's not cool that Toms withdrew because I saw WSEX had him to buy at interactive this morning at 10? I was wonder why the weird price for Toms, I thought he teed off this morning and kicked ass or something. I hope no one got burned by buying Toms on interactives or at least will get a refund.

Well the toughest stretch on the course comes in the next few hole after this one, we will see if Annika can play those holes at even par or better, But she ir right on the cut line right now in my view. But tomorrow will be tougher for her in the afternoon. As long as she doesnt finish better than -2, then I have a winner in the no cut. I really want that $6400 from my bets, so I am not worried yet OLDFRIEND and neither should you worry!

Players,

She caught a break with the rain softening up the greens. But it's early, there's plenty of holes left.

first I don’t play golf, I cant hit the ball off the ground.

but like most I have tons of golf friends. Up until this past hour I have always believed them that Golf was so difficult, especially the mental game, these players are phenomenal, and the courses are so difficult, these are world class athletes and no woman could come close to playing on these near par. I tell them, how can that be, the ball does not move, the pin does not move, the ball seems to spin or roll towards the hole half the time, and you have somebody to talk to help make club selection, you have all the time in the world and you don’t have to carry anything. and yet these clowns will still miss a fairway or clunk a shot in the water.

Now I see a lady golfer easily, and I mean easily despite more pressure (mental part of the game) that any player has ever faced go around and shoot -1 on the first 9 holes!!!

Is somebody kidding me? This is as easy a sport as bowling. Probably easier. I put it up there with skeet shooting.

I might have to take golfers off the athlete list (like NASCAR drivers).

Oh and buy the way, let that guy with the cart play, we can clearly see today that it will make no difference at all. Let them all ride for that matter its a non factor. The sport is just plain simple.

Now I will have to work on getting the ball off the ground and qualify for one of these things.

Finally we see what a mirage professional golf really is.

Seriously when she shoots -4 or whatever in the tourny would that result overall hurt Tiger Woods image, marketability, as being a superstar in a demanding difficult sport????

Well no way she will make it to -4 with these holes coming up, but I cant wait to see what Phil Mickelson does to this course. Someone will shoot 8 under today in my opinion. In case you guys dont recogize 90% of these players, well the best players tee off in the afternoon. I still say that she needs to get to -3 to be in the top 50, then in the winds tomorrow have an even par round or so to make the cut. WILL BE TOUGH TO DO!

I'm sure glad I laid off this... You guys are going to earn every penny if and when you cash those tickets.

The main theory that she would be hitting 4 irons to the green while the men hit 8 irons aint coming true.

And so it really starts now! She has made her first bogey! But can she hit fairways or what?????

Annika is now in tied for 34th place and only 1/2 the field has gone off! I might need some luck, but my $6400 is still money in the bank!!!

I made a slight error in my thinking on the over 75.5 strokes. I ewas thinking that par was 72 for some dumbass reason! Par is 70 so you guys taking the under got the win there. And most people bet on the under, congratulations guys!

From what I read Tom's played the first hole and quit, most books score that as a play as long as he teed off. Ps Annika is only ahead of 18 players right now so I would be to worried yet, plus tomorrow she tee's off in the afternoon, typically dryer, faster, and more wind.

Playersonly:

Do you hear yourself?

The greens are soft...I thought par was 72...yada yada yada.

You told people here she was going to shoot over 75'. Practically guaranteed it. So you were wrong. Get over it. It happens to the best of 'em.

Now you're telling us you didn't get a weather report, and worse yet, didn't even know what phucking par was. Jesus, how can you recommend a wager like that?

Good luck with your cut bet.

Annika is a champion, just like Taurasi. It is in their makeup, , , I put annika in the class of Giguere and Patrick Rafter kind of Champion, pure athletism and tremendous mental makeup, and puts a dagger in you with a smile.
Im glad people lost lots of money playing against her, these people are lowlifes and deserve to lose.

Well except for the cut bet, most people did bet that she would break the 75.5. So dont feel sorry for anyone.

By the way, I did take taht make a birdie before a triple bogey bet! Although I got it in at -200

THESE BETS HAVE TO BE ACTION. Otherwise it would have to be set up like a horserace and the odds would have to be set after the event began. Because in effect the books would be paying out on TWO of the participants. Not as much on the one that withdrew, but still a payout. If woods withdraws from the US open can they really pay out a longshot now while still giving back all the Woods money, no way.
