VT,

Friday..Tex & UGa

To win CWS..Tex & SC..both have best 3 yr Omaha numbers..Cocks have same quality 1-2-3 pitching and ace closer of Tex and Mia, with solid lineup, plus have equally gaudy season record from tougher schedule.

Originally liked Mia, but their UF showing, plus tough bracket coupled to small dropoff from Carillo to next two arms, and lack of play outside of home state, and need for manufactoring runs at times via steals has turned me off.

Texas Longhorn got punked on road by Nebraska, Missouri, and Stanford. AND havent played anything that resmebles a quality Division 1 baseball team in close to a month now. Arkansas can win on the road.

Arizona probably gets double digits at Rosenblatt tommorrow.

Rail,

Texas won 2 out of 3 vs Nebraska (in Austin).

The only series that Texas lost this season was @ stanford (1-2), @ Missouri (1-2) and NC State (0-2).

Very hard to explain the losses to Miss and NCST. But this team is very solid. Very good starting pitching, best pen in college and lots of thunder at the plate..

They have played many quality opponents. they play in the Big 12 -- not the A-10.

Horseshoe- Miami doesn't steal you say. Last time I looked they had 134 stolen bases. That's almost 2 1/2 steals a game. Every starter in their lineup, 1-9 can hit and run. I don't know if they have the best pitching in the tourney but they will be a team that will be tough to pin two losses on.

I am sorry for using the "R" word - and NOTHING EL

titans started out slowly - at one point were 15-16 but are now 41-20 and are red hot. they will beat the cocks saturday.

texass has a cakewalk to the finals - will go 3-0 - and get to set up its staff. they will be very tought to beat unless the other bracket ALSO goes 3-0.

Mango, I was saying they steal quite a bit, and rely on it to get a few runs, but with the quality 1-2-3 pitching of Mia, Tex, and SC, and nice 1-2 punches by LSU & CSF, I think all of Bracket-2 can play Miami head-to-head..and Uga/Ark would have punchers chance also if in Finals.

The Canes play vs. UF in the Supers was shaky..I wasn't impressed outside of Carillo and Burt.

Hell, LSU if they can get a great outing out of their ace Mestepey, can hold the Canes on base, and LSU has the best road mark of all CWS teams and highest BA away from home, via the toughest conference in the land..Miami may not win their 1st game..were but 1-2 last year in Omaha.
