Obvious answer from some will be Notre Dame, since they had Harongody and McAlarney and were ranked top 10 pre-season by many.

But this was an especially bad year to be a soft team (especially on defense) in the Big East

Other candidates: Georgetown (another casualty of the rugged Big East , Tennessee (until this weekend), Baylor (also until this weekend), Davidson, Miami, USC, Florida..... who else ???

I'm gonna go with Tennessee. No excuse not running away with the SEC this yr. with all that talent in such a down year for the conference even without Lofton, Smith, ect... still the most talent in the conference.

Opinions ??? (<)<

Before even opening this thread Notre Dame popped in my head. Preseason top 10, returning all american, and conference player of the year, etc.

notre dame would get my vote for sure....i expected big things this sure, and they showed many times that they can play with/beat the big boys.....but they also showed up very weak in some games they should have walked thorugh, and it killed them..
