I highly doubt Memphis is that high. You think Memphis and ND are going to be higher than Baylor and TCU??

Top 4 (in no specific order)

Baylor
Ohio State
Clemson
LSU

First four out (again, not in specific order)
TCU
Mich State
Alabama
Iowa

Next four
Oklahoma State
Notre Dame
Stanford
Florida

Memphis will be somewhere in the 13-20 range. I'd still put FSU, Oklahoma and Utah above them.

Your exactly right looking from the public eye, but unfortunately I am speaking of what I think the committee will do.

I really doubt they are ranked ahead of any unbeaten power 5 schools. Who knows, we'll see. Last year there were only 2 power conference schools that were unbeaten when the first rankings come out. Marshall was the only non-power 5 to be unbeaten and they didn't even sniff the top 25 until they were 11-0 and that was only at #24, then they lost the next week. I'm not saying last year's Marshall is a complete parallel to this year's Memphis or Houston, but I just think these lower tier leagues get ranked lower, and I'd be surprised if the committee puts Memphis over any of the other unbeaten teams, and probably put them behind some one loss teams as well. Memphis this year obviously has a tougher schedule than Marshall did last year, so who knows.

I do not think committee will leave out OSU. They certainly wont be #1, but will be 3 or 4...so many similarities between FSU and OSU from a year ago.

SOS and their opponents W/L and SOS is key components the committee looks for.

No way do they leave OSU out... I respect your opinions on handicapping... but disagree on that one...

Base on their SOS and their opponents SOS they aren't in my top 6. They have played nobody and their opponents have played nobody.

Wins @ NW and @ Wisconsin are not bad, also beat Pitt in Iowa City. I mean, definitely not the toughest schedule this year, but to say they have the "easiest schedule in the country" is absurd. Their opponents (to date) is pretty similar to Ohio State in terms of who they've beaten. If they win out and beat an unbeaten MSU or OSU in the B10 title game, it would be hard to keep them out.

A lot of this stuff will sort itself out over the next few weeks, obviously. Baylor and TCU haven't exactly played what I would consider to be "tough" schedules yet either.
