Your exactly right looking from the public eye, but unfortunately I am speaking of what I think the committee will do.
SOS and their opponents W/L and SOS is key components the committee looks for.I really doubt they are ranked ahead of any unbeaten power 5 schools. Who knows, we'll see. Last year there were only 2 power conference schools that were unbeaten when the first rankings come out. Marshall was the only non-power 5 to be unbeaten and they didn't even sniff the top 25 until they were 11-0 and that was only at #24, then they lost the next week. I'm not saying last year's Marshall is a complete parallel to this year's Memphis or Houston, but I just think these lower tier leagues get ranked lower, and I'd be surprised if the committee puts Memphis over any of the other unbeaten teams, and probably put them behind some one loss teams as well. Memphis this year obviously has a tougher schedule than Marshall did last year, so who knows.
Who has ia played. I think they have the easiest schedule in the country. No mi
osu or msu on their schedule at least til big 10 title game
I would agree.Wins @ NW and @ Wisconsin are not bad, also beat Pitt in Iowa City. I mean, definitely not the toughest schedule this year, but to say they have the "easiest schedule in the country" is absurd. Their opponents (to date) is pretty similar to Ohio State in terms of who they've beaten. If they win out and beat an unbeaten MSU or OSU in the B10 title game, it would be hard to keep them out.
A lot of this stuff will sort itself out over the next few weeks, obviously. Baylor and TCU haven't exactly played what I would consider to be "tough" schedules yet either.
