VERY anxious to get this new week going as last week's college was a disaster to say the least! One horendous Saturday that really put a damper on this early season. Very frustrating day that left me with many questions on what the hell happened, but going to keep capping the way I do and plug away at this "one day" deficit that struck me. I WILL come back strong like I usually do. Still many weeks to go....let's get started. A few of the lines have moved rather quickly since I played them first thing Monday morning, but this is the first chance I have got to post.

YTD: 26-31-1 -27.90 units

5* CAL -4

*I know Oregon St. is tough to win at, but this Beaver team is really having a hard time getting back on track after that LSU game. I love that CAL has both very dangerous air and ground attacks...that's tough to stop. Beavers have won the last five in this series...that STOPS here!! Beavers offensive game is really struggling as their last home game they completly dominated NMex and only won by 10. That won't get it done against a juggernaut offensive team like CAL. The Bears have USC on deck and really can't afford to go in there with no winning momentum. Throw in the extra time CAL has had to prepare. Might be close early, but they'll pull away and should cover this small number on the road.*

5* Purdue -1

*One name...Kyle Orton!! As everyone knows this guy has complete control over this Purdue offense and has them clicking like no other team. This is the first real test for them and I think they will be up for the challenge. Like CAL, I think this Purdue team has some special things going this year that will make them win close game like these. ND has been playing well lately against some tough opponents, but nothing like this type of offense. Should be a very tight game throughout, but feel Orton will be the difference. Them being installed as favorites in this game says A LOT! The over could be a good play as well, but for now sticking with the Boilermakers!*

5* Georgia -2.5 -120

*Bought the half here for my own reasons. These SEC games have been a little wild and the field goal could win it, BUT I'm sure just like the Bulldogs I have had this game circled ever since the clock turned to 0's last year at LSU when the Tigers squeaked by them. This game is HUGE for Georgia and there is really no excuse for them not to beat this LSU team who has not faired well against solid competition so far this year. Georgia has had two weeks to prepare and WILL get their revenge here at home against a team that is definetly not the same as last year. Georgia has been licking their chops for this game since last season and will finally come out and play like a top five team they know they can be like. They've been getting some critisism so far this year on their offensive performance (Trev Alberts), but this game will shut them up as it "should" be a one sided affair here. LSU played Auburn very tight...this game should be a little more spread out on the scoreboard.*

3* Utah -9.5
3* S.Mississippi -4

GL!! Should be adding some more....

I like the Cal pick and I love the Purdue selection, but......

YOU MUST HAVE MISSED THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. The Bulldogs have much more revenge than you mentioned, because LSU didn't squeak by them .....they kicked their asses. My opinion is that Georgia has too much emotion invested in this game and will play tight.

Also, you were quick to point out that LSU hasn't looked good on offense this year, but why did you neglect to mention Georgia's performance thus far? The Bulldogs have looked pitiful against weak competition, so I wouldn't look forward to any explosion against the Tiger's defense.

Take LSU on the money line.

and ga.s really wanted fla.'s ass for how many years now???? revenge in this particular game means nothing.

oh and auburn will be the team everyone thought they would be last year. and lsu was better; just got screwed.

this game is a coin flip. the value is in the points.

Right Side,

Always enjoy your insight, but I think LSU laying in the weeds. Think UGa down quite a bit from last couple years and injuries to RB corps mounting. Even when healthy not sure they can dent tough LSU defense. Agree with LSU Pete about UGa being tight (normal) and not sure they can score offensively PERIOD.

Just a thought but trying to get some updates on health of UGa players. Will share if I can get them.

Hey guys...thanks for the comments. About the Georgia pick...I just think there's too much on the line for them and the organization in this game. LSU has a dynamite defense, don't get me wrong about that, but these QB's for LSU are just getting started in their SEC road adventures and Georgia has David Greene who's been there already bringing his team back at SC earlier. LSU had 4 TO's last week vs Miss St. and have had a little problem with that this season having 9 TO's in four games. That's not going to get it done in big games like these on the road. Georgia could play tight because of all the "hype", but in the end I feel they'll come out with a convincing win. Having two weeks to prepare is HUGE for them...LSU might get the early lead, but the Bulldogs prevail victorious in the end. Just really hoping it's not a one or two point game like Auburn...think this one is a little different. Should be a great game fellas....can't wait! I'm not saying LSU can't win this game..their the defending national champs. Also, I didn't forget about the SEC champ. game last year...I just feel the game at LSU earlier was the turning point for both squads on their seasons...

Nice analysis and thoughtful points.

One thing I would like to add is that if Georgia gets down early to LSU, you can expect them to implode because of all their emphasis on THIS game. If that happens, I will lay a LARGE number on LSU in the second half.

Adding:

3* Army +19

*What am I doing going with a team that holds the nations longest losing streak? Well, this play is mainly against TCU as their defense has been getting torched every week it seems giving up tons of yards and points. This definetly isn't the same "D" as in previous years and I feel the Cadets will score on them like everyone else has been doing and keep it within the number. TCU was 1-12 on 3rd down conversions last week eventhough they scored 44 pts which is terrible.*

I do like a lot of your looks, but, unfortunately, Cal ain't one of 'em.

First game in 21 days, with USC on deck... Cal's only covered three of their last fifteen as road faves.

The Beavers are MUCH stronger at home, and I think they'll prove it Saturday. You did get a good number at four. I just hope that's enough for ya.

Good luck.

Anyone on here like the UNDER TEAM TOTAL GEORGIA UNDER 21.5?

I think this should be a very solid play. After watching the game last night between Marshall and Miami Ohio I lost a bit of respect for the Marshall defense. If Georgia was only able to put up 13 or whatever against Marshall how will they score more than 3 TD's against LSU? Let me know your thoughts on this one.

That UNDER total could be a good play, BUT you can't base their first three games on how their offensive performance is going to be in this game simply because they have had injuries and now have had lots of time to heal for this game. Against G.Southern they had a bunch of third stringers in the second half of that game playing. Against SC they lost Danny Ware very early in the game, so they had to alter the offense without him. Danny Ware is a complete STUD and is a very big part of the offense. Now, in this last game against Marshall, they obvioulsy didn't have Ware and I feel they just wanted a win there and didn't want to show too much especially with two weeks ahead being off...This LSU game is the one they've been waiting for. I believe they also got one of their main defensive players back as well for this game. Now, "most likely" because LSU's great "D", Ware will get shut down to a certain point and it all comes down to QB play with David Greene who I think will do it. Georgia might come out the gates a little rusty, but in the end they'll do it! I personally wouldn't touch that UNDER play...this Georgia team is pissed and would love to hammer these guys and if LSU gets down early it could get a little ugly. Your call though....GL!!

Adding:

1* Arizona St. +3
1* West Virginia +3
1* Texas A&M -4
1* Indiana +19

*I feel the Hoosiers at home will again play a good first half against Mich and not fold in the second half like they did last week and be in this game. They are definetly a better team than in years past and this line is inflated. As we all know laying wood on the road with Coach Carr hasn't been a good thing.*

Upgrading one play:

2* West Virginia +3

*There's no way VT loses two in a row at home...can they? YES they will!*

Well guys this is the final post for this card. I will be going out of town for the weekend as my brother is getting married. Best of Luck to all and have a profitable weekend. Bounce back time for me as I still have a very sour taste in my mouth from last Saturday's pitiful perfomance.
