FW, don't waste your money on ND, as even though they've built a good program, they still are deceptive each year due to playing a weaker schedule, then historically can't escape their own home based regional, yet the NCAA always tries to help them..easy sub this year.
Similar to ND's post-season disappointments is Ga Tech & most of the ACC schools, as Tech is the other home regional choker of the last 8 yrs, with FSU's Martin waiting 'til Omaha to bow out, also NCS is dangerous in the Miami sub-reg..yet the ACC will soon be grateful for Miami's arrival as a member on more than just the football front!
Stanford hasn't cashed in at Omaha for Marquess since his back-to-backers in the late '80s, but has been very consistent in reaching the CWS, and challenging once there, thus must be rated large fav over ND if Irish were to advance to Palo Alto for super-regional.
Stanford, Miami, Texas, & Rice would be my four largest chalks, as they have done it on the field this year, and also been the '00s best post-season performers.
The SEC w/9 in, and though always loaded, has had only one school cash in as champs in the past 15 years(LSU 5X), yet has a very good South Carolina, solid Fla, solid Ark, and tough teams in Ga, LSU, Vandy, & Miss.
Big-12 Texas, Ok St, Mo,etc.. all tough yet inconsistent.
CSF's Titans and LBS' DirtBags are always dangerous also..Weaver's lil' brother is better than Jeff at same juncture!
I would look for peaking Miami over Texas(sliding the past weeks), maybe Stanford, Rice, So Caro, or another west-coaster in the end, but have not followed it much this year, and yet to handicap it, but usually do well to it.
