No more Wheel of Genius this season for CFB....pretty entertaining stuff actually....dude went 7-0 on opening Saturday last year...

He is doing some type of CFB/NFL mix (Sizzling Seven)...does anyone have any idea about this or has he said anything recently about it?

Thanks....

He likes to brag about his great weekends... then when he has a bad week he doesn't mention it.

sounds like many touts

They win a game and its all over their site. When they lose, not a peep. The biggest scam I see for those who get monitored are they have several different groups with separate records. For instance, Marc Lawrence, Root and others have multiple outlets... basically several different groups and each one of those groups gets monitored separately. Thus, they gets 5 or more different chances to post a winning record. Then he obviously takes the one that wins and posts it all over his website. I'm sure most people here would win big every year if they had multiple chances. Here is the secret. The SportsMonitor doesn't report losing records so we don't know how many groups the handicapper really has. So even when they are monitored, some of them are scams.

And that's different then anyone else because....:ohno:

All I am saying is I have heard people blow him up like he is some genius. He really isn't. Just likes to hear himself talk. If you take his advice, I feel sorry for you.

Considering he has a mass audience like some touts he is responsible for explaining good and bad weekends. Here it is different. The majority of people here are doing it on their free time and not getting paid for it by a company. Thus, I think touts and media people should be held to a higher standard because they are getting paid for it whether they win or lose. Here most of us only get paid if we win so and thus responsible only to ourselves. Thus, I have no problem with someone touting wins and downplaying losses on the RX (including myself)

Dang, Cowherd all but said that Boise State is going to win this Thursday, stating that "this is the biggest home game Bosite State has ever had."

Um, OK Colin, but how about stating that Boise State has a 4-10 record against BCS team this decade.

I do understand his "biggest home game" comment though, BSU has played just about nobody worth a damn at home to earn their 62-2 (or what ever it is) record on the blue carpet.

boise is 74-2 since 2002 as a FAVORITE. 2 losses to Wash and ECU during a 2007 campaign that wasnt that great of a team. yes, they are 4-10 this decade against BCS teams. they are 3-9 SU as a dog.

but as a fave, which they are here, they win. which is what they are against Oregon.

we can all twist the stats to our liking. i'm good at that @)

I'm not doubting your info, but I am wondering where you get your info, because the stuff I am reading has BSU nowhere close to being 74-2 ATS as favorite since 2002.

Thanks.

Pretty sure he mentioned today that he would announce his sizzling 7 and 1 underdog play on Fridays at 1 ET. Also said he likes Boise St and Oklahoma St to cover

boise is not 74-2 ATS as a favorite. maybe straight up, but not against the spread.

I think he went something like 63% last year and picked a lot of big games. I know he picks unpopular opinions a lot to get ratings, but he def. knows college football.

Not quite. In 2001, Steele lost his September 5* on SMU and then, after 9/11, acted like that loser was swept away in the implosion. Erased it from his record and put out another September 5* a couple weeks later like nothing had happened. Not cool.
