Just imagine if he had coached Ron Artest.

Just a hunch but he wouldn't recruit a player like him.

Nice win for the General today. Espically when I am holding a 192/1 futures ticket.

General,

Regardless of how TTU does, if they lose (even if its in the Final Four), people will come out of the woodwork like termites and say Coach "can't win the big one". Just watch.

I think Coach Knight has shown why he is the coach that he is. Simply the best.

I can't wait for the Sweet 16.

I am aware of that Cincy. They really do not have the talent to be this far. That is just another tribute to Robert Montgomery. Like I mentioned Ross in offshore. Not a college in the country, including juniors wanted him and Coach said just come play for me. Kid ended up a 1st team All Big 12 player. What a story.

I would compare Coach Knight to a Terrell Owens or Latrell Sprewell..sometimes your antics outweigh your contributions and people get sick of it.It doesn't pay to be a d-head..or you wouldn't end up throwing away your biggest and best accomplishments. Just ask the General. He will be the first to deny it.

almost 40 yrs and only 3 players who did not get their degree. I believe in looking at the positive here.

I would compare him to ... a General.

A General in the Army is paid to win a war. Knight is paid to win basketball games.

He got fired for telling a little punk not to say "Hey Knight", so I guess that is very much like Latrell Sprewell, huh?

Coach Knight will only be compared to coaching greats like Eddie Sutton and Dean Smith because of career wins. He is not even in their league as far as class or character. He has no one to blame except himself.

Only in the minds of the Knight haters of the world as they generally rely upon the media for their "opinions". This is not the consensus of the basketball world or the greatest percentage of fans. But, to each his own.

I sure hope Knight doesn't ever get linked to a cheating scam like Sutton did, you're right , they are worlds apart when it comes to integrity.

The old coach was in rare form on Chet Coppock's show on Saturday. He knows IU is horrible right now and dug the knife in even deeper. Unfortunately, Davis will be back another year.

That is only in the minds of Hoosier fans.

It is not the reality of the basketball fans who have watched him make an ass of himself so many times that we have lost count. It is not enough that he made an ass of himself countless times while representing the University of Indiana, he made an ass of the US at the Olympics. Even IU had to send him and his stupidity packing because he is an ass.

The basketball world is, and always will be, outside the state of Indiana. :suomi:

You are correct I believe. Some big mistakes were made in Indiana hoops in the last 5 yrs.

You are entitled to your opinion, but just like most Knight haters, you attempt to back up your claims with false information and innuendo. You would do much better to simply say you dislike Coach Knight. You would do well to remember an old adage:

It is better to let others think you are arrogant and ignorant then to open your mouth and remove all doubt. :suomi:
