CNN Poll: Double-digit post-speech jump for Obama plan

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted just before and just after the president's speech, with 427 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus 5 percentage points.

The sample of speech-watchers in this poll was 45 percent Democratic and 18 percent Republican. Our best estimate of the number of Democrats in the voting age population as a whole indicates that the sample is about 8-10 points more Democratic than the population as a whole.

Cmon now. Should they even be offering this up as legitimate news?

The media enablers are trying their best to help their boy(s). As hard as it is to believe, their objectivity and integrity are sinking to new lows.

They are literally fierce partisan hacks, they are as partisan as Rush. But like true lefties, they look you in the face and tell you they are "unbiased"

The Washington Post is literally making up news stories to try and derail a Republican from being elected Governor of Virginia. He's leading big in the polls, and they are freaking out and shitting their pants.

There are many reasons why they are one of the least respected professions, their lack of honesty being front and center.

There's a lot of reasons why someone is elected President of the USA. The ability to persuade others is usually high on that list.

Not that I like what is going on in that race, but point me to the made up stories.

It's also my understanding that McDonnel brought up the stuff originally when responding to a question.

I worked in VA during McDonnel's first statewide run (not in that race though), these stories were floating out there then but never really became an issue because he was a downticket race.

Also, on the poll...this type of polling is dumb unless you're going to weight it to be representative of the actual demographics. Something like this is stupid to poll especially because most viewers are either

a) democrats
b) independents
c) republicans that are persuadable

even if they do weight it, it would probably be bad because we're talking about an audience that is already receptive to the message and want to hear what he has to say.

sometimes timing, an unpopular war and a credit crisis helps, especially if you know how to frame those issues (read lie about them) to your benefit.

It also didnt hurt that Obama is 'clean' and 'articulate'.

Knowing now what we know about Palin, Phil Grammn and drill, drill, drill.

Who do you think that your party could of beat?

And deep down aren't you a bit relived that they didn't win?

*Conspiracy Alert

Fox News Ratings are way up under an Obama Presidency, I wonder if they would prefer 4 more years. Financially speaking
