I don't think so. I could be wrong, but I think progressives get behind Obama in an important election, and Barr touches a conservative nerve than McCain can't reach. Neither will get even 3% nationally, but I think Barr beats out Nader slightly and also gets them in more key states. I would say Barr about 1.8% and Nader about 1.6%.

Polls don't really matter this time of the year. Nader was doing well in 2000 and lost most of his support at the end.

You're right on both points, but don't think that Nader will be getting 6% in November. I'd be surprised if he gets more then 1.5%.

With Obama moving to the center and in the process throwing the moveon.org crowd under the bus many of the moveoners will move on toward Nader. They are idealogues & feel Obama's betraying them. There is no grey area for them everything is black & white!
