Payoffs

Win/Place/Show W: 32/2; P: 14/2; S: 8/2
House Quinellas 102/2
Daily Doubles and Exactas 202/2
Trifectas Coming Soon.
Parlays Over the phone only.
House Quinellas Every Race Over the phone only

This racing payoff limit schedule is laughable, if that is indeed what it is,

congrats on finally taking racing bets, its only a $15 billion dollar a year market.

19% avg take and your limits are bordering on racketeering.

If that's what this means, if not I sincerely apologize in advance.

Unfortunately,

CRIS has not been the same since their main guy left. Who could possibly fill his shoes?

I believe it won't be too long until he returns, and when that happens, CRIS should be able to reestablish themselves again as one of the elite sports books in the offshore world...

Tin:

Mickey isn't perfect, but he has done one hellava First Class job during Hermans absence.

CRIS today continues to be a first class shop and players money is safe here.

CRIS has always taken horses over the phones. Their new software now allows players to place horse bets online.

Mickey is good guy and has done an excellent job in my opinion. You guys have no idea the work load it takes to run a shop of that size. I would venture to say most of you couldn't handle it period.

How many of you pull a 20+ hour shift to do figures on Monday?

Gringo the point is that the payout limits in the mail I got are absurd.

I do not doubt their financial standing, I do not doubt they are the safest book to bet with in CR.

The entire post is that horseracing is a 19% take sport, some limits on payoffs are prudent and acceptable, the ones in this mail are insulting.

I also agree that Mickey is a good guy but he is not nearly as capable as Herman...

That man is the bomb!

Ken, when you've been booking since Jesus Christ walked the Earth you should be the bomb!

To say he has been around is an understatement. I like to call him the grandfather of the industry. When he speaks, people shut up and listen.

The only people who think CRIS has slipped is a handful of you posters here. I can promise you their GROWING client base has no complaints. Anyone who knows anything about anything knows CRIS is as strong as ever. Huge props to M for this. Guy works everyday and accomodates everyone. I don't think anyone could have kept things going the way he has.
Remember, its easy to take a shot at those at or near the top and since CRIS has been there so long, they have become everyone's favorite target.
Sodium, 15,6, and 3 have been the max payoffs on horses for years. Where have u been? CRIS probably writes more in horses than whatever book u work for writes in sports in a given day.
Where's the love?

Lenny,
Few if anyone uses those limits anymore,
merely pointing that out. Many pay full WPS and have higher gimmick limits.

I am an ardent online supporter of CRIS and have been for years.

Sorry if insulted anyone, I was just posting the obvious.

Take care.

Ps the only book I work for is SPV retirement fund.

In truth Lenny they have slipped. It is a fact. You can suck up all you want. The facts are they have gone downhill. That is not to say they are not solid and don't do a good job -they do - but they have slipped. At one time they were the first line out. Now that never happens. They never take risks. They always wait for someone else to put lines out first and then adjust off of them. They used to have the best lines out there. No more. The best customer service - at one time yes - not now. Again - I am not saying they are not solid and don't have good points. They do. They just are not what they once were - and that is the point of this.

I never doubted how hard Mickey worked, but I still think that he decided to screw a legitimate player out of $3000 of honestly earned bonus money just because the player hadn't tanked.

First class is a bit much for someone who decided to stiff a player without any real justification.
