The name suggests it could have been a cool lounge with maybe an Oriental/Japanese theme, but alas it's your typical Tico style "upscale" club; same music, same prices, same people. Basically if you've ever been to Utopia or Living, it's the exact same thing. In 2-3 months I'm sure it will be dead as everyone moves to the next "hot spot".

Another club that attracts sonic the hedgehog looking ticos. I would personally avoid, unless you dig that scene.

Ticos should be forbidden to own clubs. Anything other than a massage parlor, they fuck up royally. I use to think Prive was a cool place when it was American owned. It operated like a normal club, now with the Ticos in charge its a total clusterfuck.

Speaking of places that went south due to Ticos, the all-time winner is Santa Ana's Tex Mex. It used to dominate as a hangout...then some Ticos tried to make it upscale. TIMBERRRRRR

Great example, however I believe that the Olga factor was also instrumental in its demise.

The one time I went there after the Santa Ana festival it had Mexican food. But, the prices were about doubled and they change guacamole recipes. We even pointed that out but the seemed to like their new recipe better. They also had a BBQ menu and tried to use fancy-presented plates, which didn't fit the theme one bit. Have never been back since.

shit doubled the price!!! I thought they were expensive before they changed owners. They used to be cheap and good like 5 years ago. The boca menu was the shit back then the mini machaca burrito was like $1200 colones and huge!!!
