My laptop has this thing.
You log in to the internet - then are sent to www5.click2begin.com.
Next you are sent a random website - the last one to spanishluck - a internet casino.

You close those sites and 20/30 minutes later it grabs you again.

Norton and AdAware do not find anything.

Please help.

In addition, clear your cookies manually or with the CCleaner software that was posted in this forum. Good luck.

Ran the CCleaner.
Homepage is yahoo.com.

Still getting the click2begin hijacker.

It goes to the homepage but as soon as I go to another site the hijack starts.

Any more suggestions ??

Run a registry cleaner/repair and see what you come up with. I personally run the following registry cleaner/repair because it gives me the degree of the problem.

http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/

the following tool is also good, but be careful on what you delete.

Did everything but -
"the following tool is also good, but be careful on what you delete.

Be careful what you delete worried me.

another good cleaner, like ccleaner, is
http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/
At the end I got a message saying something about Window's files not being recognized or corrupted - Please insert system disk. ???/ Coukd not get out of the loop - clicking any icons (retry, cancel etc) took you back to the message.

Just restarted and everything appears intact.

Still have the original hijacker.
