for wages under 1000 dollars (right now that is based on current exchange rates) the taxes are close to zero, picture 6 dollars, in that range

if everything is done according to the book (which is rarely done ) then you also would lose in theory 9% due to healthcare/social security deductions

so an accurate number would be like 190 take home per week, say about 760 a month. rent is what, 500 NES? groceries what, 50 a week? dont leave much room for anything besides food and shelter.

Rent if you are living by yourself would be closer to three, 200 if you wanted it to be. Groceries are more like a two hundred every other week if you can live without Hormel Bacon, Pilsbury Biscuits, and other Gringo brands that you are used to having.

Plus you got to get some kind of side gig, or have some money in the bank if you want to party on that budget. Roommates are also an option, I had one or more roommates for my first 5-6 years living in CR.
