Both teams laid off last Sat and have had plenty of time to prepare for this game. Clemson at 3-2 and 0-3 ats and all of them have been at home. Clemson has won the last 2 games in this series including last year's thumping in the valley. The year before they beat WF by 10 at WF. Obviously WF was peaking ahead as Navy caught them off guard with that 24-17 W at WF. WF struggled to stop the run in the Navy game and I expect Clemson to run quite a bit. Clemson struggles against the pass and WF QB is a good one. Should be an exciting game in which I like the home team in a close one. I think WF gets some payback.

WF are 14-4 ats last 18 vs a team with a winning record.
WF are 9-3 ats last 12 over all.

Wake has been very good on Thursday nights, especially at home.

Clemson has been terrible on Thursday nights, especially on the road.

Clemson, generally, gets the better of Wake. Tommy is 7-2 against the Deacs.

There is no way anyone can say with any degree of certainity which Clemson team will show up.

Hindsight is, of course, always 20/20. Clemson was over rated at the start of the year. The embarrassing loss to Alabama doesn't look as bad now as it did then given how good Alabama is. The loss to Maryland is the one that has people in Tiger-town screaming for Tommy's head (again).

There may be some value in Clemson as a dog. I honestly don't think this game will be close. One team will blow out the other...I just don't know which one it is! LOL

You are more disciplined than me to pass on a Thursday night profile game. I just like the action! Clemson won last year by 34 and 10 the year before. But yet they are a dog in this one. The home team has won 6 out of the last 8 in this series though. Anyway, worth a shot for me.

I really like the under in this game. Expecting a 20-17, grind it out, safe, field position type of game. If I had to take a side it would be Wake Forest. They are probably too solid and well coached for Clemson.

I tend to avoid ACC games for obvious reasons, their almost unwatchable and almost always unbettable, but the play is WF here, and they might win big in this spot and put an exclamation mark on Clemson's overhyped expectations.
