Patterson goes 3-5 and they pick out his 2 outs to criticize. Geez. Patterson is going to be awesome. Criticize all you want.

you got me d2...corey had a nice game. he is playing much better the second half. if he can ever learn to walk 60-80 times per year, he will be a great leadoff hitter.

I think Patterson is eventually a middle of the linuep guy, ideally #3 I'd say. I guess he could hit leadoff, but he's going to continue to be a 20-25 HR guy, maybe more.

Patterson is just a guy at this point that you curse one moment and sing his praises the next. But he's also a guy that you definitely don't give up on. The term "5 tool player" is really overused, but he is one of the few that exist on the horizon. Great range, very good arm, power, speed and he will hit for avg before long. He can do it all.

It looks like Corey is just starting to recover from a bad knee injury he suffered last year and is coming into form. He's still rather green at the major league level and the switch to leadoff seems to have given him a mental boost as well. He looks like a solid 20-20 guy and a potential 30-30 guy. Maybe he'll make people forget about the Dominican Rob Deer.
