Really looked like he had his confidence back even more than the previous game. His splitter looked devastating. Anyone else taking the yanks on Rogers opening day?
I was at the game, and he topped out at 91 MPH. I'm worried that w/ less velocity, his breaking stuff will be less effective. His control was excellent, but was hoping to see more kick to the fastball. What a minor-league atmosphere, 11,300 in the house, SRO everywhere, and he went 6 innings.
Juice is gonna be wayyyy too high in his first few starts. Pettitte's pitching lights out, and the Yanks are just 4-6 with him on the mound. Why would they suddenly start winning with Clemens?
i'm following sos's advice and fading roger, his better days are long gone....manny ramirez or david ortiz catches his 91 mile an hr fastball and its bye bye......
rogers fastball , now thats an oxy whatcha ma call it....lol...
i hope he faces red sox. but the cowardly yanks will probably hold out til next series, fade the rocket and count your money.....yes indeed..
Seemed to be throwing more off-speed yesterday, splitter was good but his Fastball was a bit high in the Zone and velocity wasn't "Rocket" Like... Looked ok I thought, not as good as the numbers put up say, think MLB hitters will be a much different story.
I think there may a few opportunities for a few OVER plays (depending on the actual numbers that get posted of course) when Clemens comes back. His ERA may be close to 4 when all is said and done.

It was close to 4.00-3.99, to be exact-in his entire stay LAST time with the Skanks, and that was 3 years ago! Plus, we're probably looking at 6 innings, 7 tops, whereupon we get that lovely Skank bullpen: (insert Homer Simpson murmur of desire when the subject of food comes up)...
