can't say I've made "a lot" of money, since I generally avoid the run lines. But I always scan the run line for home teams at +1.5. This has been fairly profitable for me.

Actually, I've had a lot of luck with -1.5. Hate taking any fav at more than -150 or so (too many upsets in bases), so taking the runline helps me drive that line down on those huge favs. Yea, sometimes that -1.5 will burn you, but it's been good to me so far.

I would think taking the away team +1.5 has more value than the home team +1.5..

Mr. Kennedy

How can you possibly say that without knowing what kind of moneyline is attached?

what I meant is.. I would think that more situations would be beneficial to the away team with the +1.5

if they lose..they will have recieved 9 at bats VS 8 for the home team..

if the game is tied going into the bottom of the ninth or extra innings.. unless a HR is hit... game ends after that first run..

Who are these guys that allow me to take a dog -1.5 +350ish? A public thank-you to them all. Thank you for taking the fav +1.5 and laying -400.

That's quality weed in your pipe for sure.

I don't know any Professionals who make a living laying 1 1/2 runs in baseball, but I do know quite a number of fools and losers who do this...

With all respect, I did not find anything educational in a post that did not even address the amount one might have to lay to get +1.5 in baseball.

I meant no offense, but the +1.5 or -1.5 has no value until you factor in the lay or take.

Surely you agree with this?

I normally don't play them, as I usually lean on dogs in baseball, yet I have been quite successful this season on the RL.

Does someone have some historical statistics on laying the -1.5 and how that did for the entire season.

Well -1 1/2 is a awful bet..I think 25% of games end up one run games..Now if you getting the run and half... and laying no juice and getting 25% bonus!! THERE YOU GO!! You got a winner

The +1.5 is quite useful in parlays. For example, if you take 3 dogs +1.5, you have 8 different ways for you to win as long as one team doesn't lose by 2 runs whereas SU, you need all 3 to win.
