SIOUX FALLS, SD - If your upcoming holiday weekend plans include yard work, we've got some words of warning for you.
Trying to save time while you're mowing, doctors say, could land you in the E-R, or worse the O-R, if you aren't careful.
Finger and hand amputations are most common this time of year, often the result of not turning off the mower before trying to dislodge the grass.
Because the location of the lawnmower blade is sometimes hard to see, people often miscalculate where it is when reaching in to clear a clog. Instead, turn the mower off, tip it, and clean the underside with a scraper or hose, instead of your hand.
