About as Apolitical as it gets for a movie about CivilWar
We never really learn what the issues are, so there is no way to decide who is right or wrong, although it is heavily implied that the people are not Down with whatever the Presidential Regime is doing.
And thats good because to me the thing they made crystal clear is that
WAR IS HELL , especially when its with your own people....there is no rhyme or reason to the killing, its just what happens when there is no dialogue or common ground to reach.
Dont know why anyone would want something like this to happen in our Country.
It makes total sense to me why the WhiteHats want to avoid it.....any short term pain that we all feel right now is simply a pimple on our ass or a scraped knee compared to the travesty that would incur if a CivilWar broke out.....
It reminded my of watching the HeartofDarkness/Apocalypse Now.....as we get closer and closer to DC the greater the madness starts to ramp up.
I thought the part where they went into the town that was ignoring the CivilWar was a perfect comparison to people today who ignore World Events ....stay out the way and let the chips falls where they may attitude.
