City to workers: Wear underwear, deodorant

New dress code instructs employees to observe 'strict personal hygiene'

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - A Florida city is cleaning up with a new dress code that requires city workers to wear underwear and use deodorant.
The city council in Brooksville north of Tampa recently approved a dress code that instructs employees to observe "strict personal hygiene."
It also prohibits exposed underwear, clothing with foul language, "sexually provocative" clothes and piercings anywhere except the ears.

Repeat offenders can be fired.
The city council approved the dress code 4-1 as part of a wider effort to update existing policies and ordinances.
The one vote in opposition came from Mayor Joe Bernadini. He said the underwear edict "takes away freedom of choice."

I think that's good though, I mean they should be at least somewhat presentable.

Looks like Obama just created another new job. Underarm sniffer and panty checker. Actually, that's two jobs. This guy is awesome.

Can you nut jobs reply to a post without referencing Obama? Yes, he is evil and will destroy the world. We get it. Try to stay on topic.

Im sorry Betall that this thread was moved but i would also like to just point out that Illini made 1 comment only and i posted 1 pic only that was even remotely political and both were much more in humor than anything...I know in my case it was like 2am when i posted the pic and was clearly meant for humor only...

During the last 8 years you would find these little shots here and there in all threads and even in posts on the main forum.....NONE were moved and nobody called people names over them. BUT NOW that the joke is on the OTHER side of the mods funny bones its become a serious matter that sends every negative comment straight to the political forum....I dare say even today a Palin /Letterman thread with 90% posts supporting Letterman and joke after joke after Pic of Palin contained within would sit on the main forum as long as it got replies with no thought what so ever of moving it.....But we cant touch your guy without a "failing to see the humor" response and an instant trip to the PF or RR even....
Typical Liberal double standard from the Mods here....The only free speech they believe in is the freedom to condemn conservatives at every turn...

It is not. We made the same moves with the dislike Bush threads when he was in office.

We don't care for politics in the offshore forum is all.

It has it's place and you have all the free speech you want right here in the poly forum where the thread ended up belonging.

I have a hard time wondering why this thread was moved...wouldn't have happened three years ago...couple guys make a joke...where's the foul?

But yet racist comments from Rail and BTJ remain....

VD, Railbird is on PostReview for the RxForum at large, which is why he doesn't put up much in past couple months.

BTJ is on a voluntary "leave" after having repeated threads he started get kicked to the RRoom and for past couple months he's made no attempt to return.

Likely no such thing as a Perfect Balance, but as far as those two go, there's little if any slack being permitted for their standard fare.
